Hiking in the bakony Hills, routes in the neighbourhood

We offer some routes for hiking and cycling starting from „Bokréta” Guesthouse. These routes can be found on tourist maps. Click on „MAP”. Also we provide a short discription so that our visitors can decide which one to choose.

1. A short walk to the neighbouring Döbrönte to visit the ruins of „Szarvaskő” Castle

Route: Start from the „Bokréta” Guest House, walk along the Main street of Ganna till the crosswards, where you can see the church, there turn right towards Döbrönte. Go past Ódöbrönte and approaching Döbrönte first you wil lsee a riding school on the right, then a chapel, after that you will see Hotel Hasik. Going ahead you will reach the playground on the left. Crossing the playground and walking upwards you will arrive at the hill. Climbing it you can reach the ruins of „Szarvaskő” Castle, from which teher is a magnificant view of the area.

2. Middle-distance walk to Ödön Spring

Route: From „Bokréta” Guest House go along the Main Street of Ganna till the playground, turn right and go towards Döbrönte following the green-sign route. Go along the Main Streetof Döbrönte leaving the village, go past „Bitva” Creek. Following the green-sign route you will reach the old mill on the right, which is among the weekend houses. Go over „Bitva” Creek, follow the green-sign path in the forest and you will get to the „Ödön” Spring at tehe bottom of the „Polány-Mánc” Hill.

3. Long forest walk to Magyarpolány to visit the Catholic Church and the Calvary

Route: 2 go to the „Bitva” bridge. Go over the creek and follow the green-cross sign path. Go past the „Gannai-Mánc” Hill, which is on the left, then „Nyúl” Hill, which is on the right. Following the green-cross sign you will see the yellow-cross sign and from that point you will have to follow that until you see „Polány” Hill then the village of Magyarpolány. There you can visit the church and the famous carvary.

4. Long forest walk to the middle of the Bakony hills, to Csurgókút

Route: From „Bokréta” Guest House go along the Main Street of Ganna till the playground, turn right and go towards Döbrönte following the green-sign route. Go along the Main Streetof Döbrönte leaving the village, go past „Bitva” Creek. Following the green-sign route you will reach the old mill on the right, which is among the weekend houses. Go over „Bitva” Creek, follow the green-sign path in the forest and you will get to the „Ödön” Spring at tehe bottom of the „Polány-Mánc” Hill. Then go along the green-sign path till „Malom” path, then turn left and follow the curving route, go past the hunting lodge, which you will see on the left. There is a small pond next to the lodge. Going ahead, you will cross the „Köves” Creek, twice then you will reach „Csurgókút” next to the so-called „Csurgó” Rock.
